The company began as a thought one day over a coffee. The thought quickly turned into reality, and so Aasa & Kennedy was born. Founded by Charlotte Aasa and Ali Powell (nee Kennedy), Charlotte is Swedish and Ali half Irish, hence our names!
Both from a Marketing background, we longed for a career change and to run an exciting international business together.
We realised after just a couple of weeks intense research looking at the gift marketplace, that there was very little in the way of really good quality, upmarket gifts available in one place. Also, few companies were really offering what we considered to be a complete gift solution.
And so within a few weeks the idea developed and here we are. By the Summer of 2004, we had launched with over 200 gift ideas to suit most occasions.
