Compare what you pay for other extras, such as international calling, photos, text messages and web browsing.  You may not use those options now, but you do need to know what it will cost you to add them later if you want to.

Upgrading Or Changing Your Cellular Phone Plan

Find out how you can make changes to your cellular phone plan, and what it costs you to make those changes.  Is there a change fee?  Do you have to take out a new contract?  If you change phones, will it cost you to transfer your service to the new phone?  There are all kinds of charges that can apply any time you make a change in your cellular phone plan, and you need to know exactly what they are. 

Calling Circles And Family Plans

If your cellular phone plan includes calling circles or family plans, make sure you know exactly who is included in your plan.  Your college kid may not be included in your family plan while she’s in England.  If there is a calling circle, is it limited to a certain region?  Once again, make sure you understand all the limitations.
