A Brief History of the Bonsai
Bonsai is the practice of growing a normal size tree or plant in a miniature form in a flowerpot; this is not an easy practice but extremely rewarding through the years with its beauty, elegance and sophistication. The art originated in China around the fourth century; this trend soon traveled the boundaries into other Asian countries such as Japan, Korea, and Vietnam. The Japanese maple bonsai, also known as Acer palmatum, is relatively easy-to-convert into bonsai; it is widely found all over Japanese gardens as a result. Its characteristics are delicate foliage with incredible fall colors that range from rich gold to deep blood red and burgundy.

Watering: This requires every day checking in order to make sure the soil is not dry at the same time more water is not needed other then keeping the soil moist at all times.
Pruning: This is generally done in spring when one needs to remove most grown parts during the last year; shape the Japanese maple bonsai according to your style likes but also follow some guidelines for maximum output and health. Leaves should be trimmed in late spring.
